ShipSmart integrations offer a range of features that optimize the management of quotes, shipments, and product registration in your store.
Below, you will find a list of these features, each with links to articles that explain how to efficiently use them:
1. Freight Quotation
With the integration to ShipSmart, you can get freight quotes directly on your store’s website, or manually through the ShipSmart dashboard.
Learn how to get freight quotes here.
1.1. Tracking Quotes on the ShipSmart Dashboard
All quotes are available for tracking on the ShipSmart dashboard. To access:
-
In the main menu, select Follow up > Quotations & Shipments, then click on the Quotes tab.
-
When accessing Quote Details, you can view all related information, such as freight costs and available shipping options.
1.2. Delivery Models: DDU or DDP
ShipSmart offers two delivery models:
- DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid)
- DDP (Delivery Duty Paid)
The amount shown in the shopping cart will include only the freight cost with the carriers*. You will have the freedom to choose the delivery model that best fits your business.
*Important:
In the integration between ShipSmart and VNDA, the shipping model is automatically set to DDP (Delivery Duty Paid). This means that all charges – shipping, taxes, and insurance – are calculated and included in the price shown in the cart. The end customer will not have additional costs upon receiving the shipment, as all charges are paid at the origin (Brazil).
Choose the ideal delivery model: DDU or DDP.
2. Box Registration and Management
You need to register a name and identification code for each box model used by your store, along with the box dimensions and maximum supported weight.
Example:
- Name: Small Box
- Code: 0001
Through the ”Actions” column, you can edit, delete, or disable registered boxes, or click “Add” to include new models.
Learn how to manually register boxes here.
Important:
Always ensure that the box dimensions are greater than or equal to the registered products’ dimensions, as boxes smaller than the products may cause inconsistencies in freight calculation.
3. Product Registration
Product registration on ShipSmart can be done in two ways: manually or via spreadsheet.
3.1. Manual Product Registration
For stores with fewer products, manual registration is a simple and quick way to add information directly on the ShipSmart dashboard.
See the complete guide on how to manually register products here.
3.2. Product Registration via Spreadsheet
If your store has many products, registration via spreadsheet is the most practical option. To register products in bulk, download the template spreadsheet available on ShipSmart and follow the import process.
See the complete guide on how to register products via spreadsheet here.
Important: Common errors when registering your spreadsheet
Before importing the spreadsheet, check for these common errors to avoid them:
-
Name or description of the product exceeding 35 characters.
-
Category with more than 6 characters – enter “Others” if necessary.
-
Associated box with dimensions smaller than the product.
-
Decimal separator – use a period (.) instead of a comma (,). E.g.: 0.6 instead of 0,6.
-
Box code (Box_code) – make sure it matches the ID in the box editing window URL, as shown below.
3.3. Tracking Spreadsheet Import
After submitting the spreadsheet, you can track the process on the import home screen. Go to Manage > Items > Imports.
If any errors occur, click on the status word to see details and make adjustments to the file, as indicated below.
4. Shipments and Pickup Scheduling
After creating or integrating an order in your store, you can access the ShipSmart dashboard to generate the necessary documentation and schedule the pickup.
ShipSmart offers features that make managing shipments easier, such as:
- Shipment details: Track the shipment status.
- Embed PDF documents: Generate and print all necessary documents for the shipment.
- Pickup scheduling: Schedule a pickup date directly on the ShipSmart dashboard.
Learn more about shipments here.
5. Freight Rules
Through the Quotation Rules option, you can set up customized rules that apply discounts or surcharges to freight, insurance, and tax values. These rules are especially indicated for users who want to adjust freight margins by country or offer free shipping.
Examples of rules:
- Apply a discount of X% on freight for certain regions.
- Add a margin of X% surcharge to freight values.
- Fix freight, insurance, or tax values.
- Offer free shipping in the store’s quotation.
