Quotation Rules

At ShipSmart, we offer a powerful tool to create custom discounts and campaigns, such as free shipping. Through the Quotation Rules section, you have the ability to adjust discounts or increases in the prices of freight, insurance, and taxes.

It's important to note that these rules are directly related to the freight contract you maintain with ShipSmart.

To set up these rules and make the most of this functionality, follow these simple steps:

1. Access the Quotation Rules Page

Click on the menu located in the top left corner of your screen and go to “Set Up > Quotation Rules”.

You will see all the quotation rules previously created in your ShipSmart account (if any). Click on "Add" to create a new one.

Remember that once a rule is created, it cannot be modified, so enter the information carefully.

2. Select the Rule Type

Choose whether the rule applies to Freight, Insurance, or Taxes, as per your needs.

3. When to Apply

In this section, under “Contract”, if the rule pertains to freight, for example, it might be that the benefit or discount only applies if the shipment is made with a specific carrier, such as UPS or DHL. It's not mandatory to fill in this field.

Next, select the Channel and/or Campaign linked to the quotation rule.

Specify the destination countries for the rule. If you want it to apply to all countries, you'll need to enter them one by one.

If you have associated users, you can select the user to whom the rule applies, if it's only one.

Then, choose the quote currency. To validate it, specify an initial value where the rule will be applied and a final value (for example, it applies only to purchases of $20 or more in products).

4. Quotation Rule to Apply

Enter a description that clearly identifies the campaign or promotion.

Choose whether the rule involves a fixed value or a percentage discount, and enter the corresponding information in the respective fields. If you want to receive a margin from the freight price, simply add a minus sign before the number (-50%, for example).

5. Rule Validity Period

Finally, specify the validity period, indicating the start and end date and time of the rule.

Click on "Add" and you're all set! Now you can enjoy the benefits of your new quotation rules.

With these simple steps, you can optimize your pricing and promotion strategies, offering compelling offers to your customers and maximizing your results.
