The former Presets menu is now called Automatic Fields, but with the same purpose: to speed up and standardize the input of your most important shipping information, now with even more control and clarity.

You can save and automate key data to make quoting, order creation, and document printing even faster and more efficient.

To access these features, locate the menu icon in the upper-left corner of your screen and click it. From the dropdown, go to “Set up > Automatic Fields”.

You’ll be directed to the Automatic Fields page, as shown below.

Review the options below and click the corresponding article to learn how to configure each one of them.

Quote

Set up default shipping details such as sales channel, sender address, tax responsibility, quote/payment currency, insurance, home delivery, and whether packages can be stacked.

Define a default shipment classification and enable auto-scheduling for pickups (available if you have a warehouse integrated with ShipSmart).

Draft

Set the default shipping price for the checkout process in your online store to show either the fastest or the most affordable shipping option.

Configure how many copies are needed for each required shipping document — individually or in bulk.

Note:

If you regularly import bulk shipments using spreadsheets (XLS or XML), Automatic Fields can make that process even faster.

When you predefine your shipping preferences, such as sales channel, shipment type, tax responsibility, and number of document copies, the system will automatically apply those settings to every shipment created from your spreadsheet.

That means less work and much more agility in your operations!
